boo is a new type of travel website that will help change the way you search for travel online.
Our boo.com is new, but we have years of experience in travel.
In fact, we've booked travel for over 12,000,000 people from 250 countries since our first site launched in 1999. In doing so, we've learnt a lot about what people love and hate about booking travel. We also know that high commission environments always add to the price you pay, so our site operates off the lowest in the industry...or none at all.
In launching boo.com we've tried to create an experience taking what was once a tedious process involving multiple sites and deliver it under a single offering. Put simply, we think you should have a huge choice, and from there we should offer you the tools you need to quickly find what's right for you. A fully inclusive search and comparison engine, informative reviews and direct links to supplier sites mean that you can make your decision in minutes.
Alongside the core accommodation offering, we carry restaurants, bars and interesting things to do in your chosen destination. And soon we'll have a flight engine to help you get there.
In time we want to list everything, everywhere. So be sure to add places you've been and share them with other boo users or just your friends.
So why boo.com? Even though we have no association with the previous boo.com, we like the name because it's short, snappy and easy to remember. We hope you like it too.
the boo story
boo.com is born out of our belief that the online travel experience is frustrating.
Up to now booking online travel meant engaging in what we call "the circle of gloom". Start with a search engine..millions of results for even the smallest destination; Inevitably end up with an online travel agent site which lists a subset of the properties with often high commissions and service fees.. then back to the search engine to find your chosen hotel direct ..perhaps visiting a reviews site on the way. Rinse .. then repeat..
boo.com makes the whole process of planning a trip much easier and lets you do it all on one site. You can search available accommodation, filter out places that you don't like and then either book direct with the supplier or with boo - boo doesn't mind as long as you get the right place.
We launched boo with one million reviews from real people. They have booked and stayed with us in the past. Other reviews elicited from people like you are human-read before publication. Dud reviews are trapped using algorithmic checks and human intervention. Some will get through but not many. Users themselves will contribute to trust ratings associated with reviews, so if it looks dodgy, you'll know.
And in essence, that is boo. If there's somewhere in the world you want to go, visit boo.com to see what it's really like. Then book it. Simple. Now all you need to do is decide where you'd like to go.
